Hi Dive Families,

What a great week on the boards! Between our A meet on Tuesday and our B meet on Thursday, we had over 40 divers aged 5 to 17 compete for Cardinal Hill this week. It was a pleasure to watch each and every one.

We have another full week ahead, and it looks like it will be a scorcher! Read below for all the info.

Logistics

• Water Bottles & Sunscreen - This week is going to be extremely hot, especially toward the end of the week. Please make sure your divers are hydrated and protected from the sun by sending them with water bottles and applying sunscreen. 
• Ribbons - After each meet, ribbons/medals are placed in family folders by the front desk. Please stop by periodically and check your folders. 

Social:

• Dinner & Dive - Church St Pizza - Wednesday, 7/1
  • Come join us again to build community and enjoy an evening when you don't need to make dinner or even decide what to order! 
  • Sign up here by Wednesday at 10am to reserve your slices!
• Mark your calendars for two upcoming events: 
  • Secret Dive Buddies - Week of 7/13-7/17
    • Back by popular demand! We are starting later this year due to the timing of the July 4th holiday. 
    • Print and complete the first page of this Secret Dive Buddy Form
    • Completed forms are due in the Lee Family Folder by Thursday, 7/9
    • Matched Secret Dive Buddy forms will be filed into your folders by Friday, 7/10 at 5pm.
    • **Note: Please only plan to participate if your diver will be at practice every day that week. We don't want sad divers who don't get a bag because their buddy is away. 
  • Parent Learn a New Dive Night - Wednesday, 7/15
    • Parents, join your divers on the boards to be coached (and judged) by your own children! It's time to show off your collegiate diving skills! Or, like me, perfect that front jump straight. 
    • Practice will be followed by Dinner & Dive.

• B Meet vs. Kent Gardens - CH divers had a strong showing at our first B Meet against another team this season. Our developmental divers showed great poise on the boards and showcased some wonderful diving! Congratulations, CH Divers!

  • Come cheer on your teammates! Stay for the senior divers - always fun for the little ones to watch!
  • Participating divers received an email with details yesterday. 
  • *Note: Additional divers may be added on Monday/Tuesday after practices. Parents will be contacted as soon as possible.
• B Meet vs Dunn Loring at Cardinal Hill - Thursday, 7/2
  • All divers are encouraged to participate!
  • Please RSVP your diver by Wednesday, 7/1 at 8:00am.
