Hello Cardinal Hill Dive Families,

It's almost May and we’ve already been hard at work getting ready for the 2026 Dive Season at Cardinal Hill. We hope everyone is as excited as we are! We wanted to send out an email to all of our past families to give you a heads up on registration and details about the upcoming season. We will switch over to sending out communications to enrolled 2026 families only in mid-May. Our website, (https://cardinalhilldive.swimtopia.com/), has been updated for the 2026 season, so please feel free to check it out for any questions you may have. We apologize in advance for this long email, but there is always a lot of information to push out at the beginning of the season. Please read carefully and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

REGISTRATION AND VOLUNTEERING

Dive registration will open on Monday, April 27th (tomorrow). You will receive an email when it’s time, or you can just navigate to the website and enroll via a link there from April 27 forward. We will be placing our t-shirt order on May 16, so we ask that everyone who would like a shirt register by May 15th. Registration for the team will be available after that date, but a t-shirt will not be guaranteed (though we'll do our best!).

Every dive family is expected to volunteer at least 3 times during the season. We ask that returning dive families (we know who you are! ) whose divers participate in A or B meets volunteer primarily for meet jobs (table worker and judges). We will be reserving "entry-level" social jobs primarily for new dive families this summer. A separate email will be sent when volunteers roles are open for enrollment - it will not be attached to diver registration this summer.

A big THANK YOU to the parents who have graciously agreed to season-long volunteer positions!

$$$$$NEW - We need a new team treasurer this summer. This is great for anyone looking for a volunteer position you can do from home. The bulk of this job involves processing reimbursements to anyone who makes purchases on behalf of the team (for popsicles, dinner and dive night, etc). If you become treasurer, this will exempt your family from any other volunteer duties. Please reach out for further information.$$$$$

PRACTICE SCHEDULE (also available on the website)

First Practice: Thursday, May 28

May 28 - June 16 , Monday- Friday, Afternoon Practices (no practice June 17):
Divers can pick one 1-hour session to attend:
5:15-6:15 pm or 6:15-7:15 pm

Please do not worry if you cannot attend practice regularly until the school year is over. This is always a busy time of year for kids in other sports, concerts, etc. It's not a problem!

Note for new divers: New divers expressing an interest in the team are welcome to come try out the boards and get to know the team before registering for the season. You may attend 3 consecutive days of practice without registering. After that 3rd day, registration will be required to continue on. Please see a dive rep to sign a waiver even if you are just trying it out.

*No practice on Wednesday, June 17 (last day of FCPS).

 Starting June 18 : Monday- Friday, Morning Practices:

9:00am-10:00am 13+ years

10:00am-11:00am 10-12 yrs

11:00am-12:00pm 9 and under

We know that our divers are often also members of the swim team, attend camps, etc. For that reason, we are flexible regarding which practice you attend if you cannot attend the assigned time. You do not need to let us know which practice you will be coming to - just show up!
