2023 Dive Registration Coming Soon!
Hello Cardinal Hill Dive families!
I hope you’ve all had a great school year and are looking forward to another fun summer on the dive team. I will be the dive team rep again this summer, but I am thrilled that Kate Beck will be my co-rep this year. We’ve been getting things up and running in preparation for registration to begin on May 1st.
Just a couple of small changes for this summer to note:
1) When you register you will see three team shirt options! The standard cotton t-shirt is included with your registration fee. If your diver would prefer an athletic-fabric tee or a tank top, those are options this summer for an additional $5. Parents and other family members can also choose to purchase additional cotton tees, athletic tees, or tank tops for $15-$20 (depending on style).
2) We are going to move our practices back to starting at 9am (instead of the 8am start last summer). There will be three morning practices, 9-10am, 10-11am, and 11-12pm. We will suggest a practice time for each age group soon, but because we know that a lot of families have other team practices, camps, etc., we are flexible on the practice you attend if you cannot attend the one assigned.
Practice starts on Tuesday, May 30th. Afternoon practices will be 4:30-5:30pm and 5:30-6:30pm until June 15th (no practice June 16th). Starting on June 19th we’ll move to morning practices.
IMPORTANT: With Kate as my co-rep this summer, we need a replacement Social Chair. We need this person in place asap because there is some purchasing (candy, snacks, plates, etc) that happens right before the season starts. Kate has done this job for many years now and has everything organized and ready to hand off to the next volunteer. Tasks of the Social Chair include: purchasing and maintaining supplies of candy, nacho cheese, chips, lemonade, plates, cups, etc; organizing volunteers for the Wednesday night potlucks; overseeing the secret dive buddy week; helping to plan and organize volunteers for the end of season dive banquet. This job is all about supply and volunteer management. If this sounds like something you would be willing to do, please contact us (reply to this email). Kate is also happy to answer any questions you might have before you commit. (This also fulfills your required three volunteer assignments for the season).
There is a lot more information available on our website (https://cardinalhilldive.swimtopia.com/) or please feel free to contact us if you have any questions prior to registration.
Best,
Megan Pierce and Kate Beck
