We are rolling into Week #5 of Dive Team. Here’s the scoop on this week’s activities:

Monday-Friday Secret Dive Buddies: Secret Dive Buddies begins tomorrow. If your child is participating, please bring their buddy gift in a paper bag and leave on the marked table in the cabana. If you have any questions about Secret Buddies, you can contact our social chair, Kate Beck, at [email protected] Here is a list of what to bring each day:

Wednesday (6/30):Favorite Snack Day Limit $5

Thursday (7/1):Favorite Candy Day Limit $2

Friday (7/2):Summer Toy/Special Gift Day Limit $7

Tuesday A Meet vs Orange Hunt (HOME): We will have our second A Meet of the season this week, which will be another home meet. Remember A Meets are for the top divers on the team and are by invitation only. Divers must be able to perform a certain set of required dives to be considered (details on the website). If your diver is interested in diving in an A Meet but unsure if they qualify, please reach out to the coaches either before or after practice. Warms-ups at 4pm. Nachos at 5pm. Volunteers at 5:30pm (exception is Nachos & Sound System). Meet start at 6pm.*If your child is diving, please sign-up to volunteer- we still have several positions open including an announcer, judge, and table worker.

Wednesday Night Dinner & Dive: Learn a New Dive will be from 5pm-6:30pm, followed by our team potluck in the cabana. This week we will be ordering pizza from Church Street Pizza. Thursday Afternoon Practice is ON: We do not have a B Meet scheduled this week, so there will be an optional afternoon practice this Thursday from 3pm-4:30pm.

Team T-Shirts Are IN: If you have not yet picked up your team t-shirt, please ask the coaches before or after practice. If you joined the team after the June 4^th deadline, you may now ask if there are extra shirts that might fit your diver.

“Lollipop Meet” vs Dunn Loring Results: Our first Dual B Meet vs Dunn Loring was a big success! Congratulations to all our awesome divers! And thank you to all our wonderful volunteers. As B Meets are not scored team events, we don’t keep an official log of the final event placement. I was so eager to get meet sheets and ribbons to everyone, I put them in folders before announcing the meet winners. I’m going to try to give our first place divers a shout out from memory, but please forgive me if I make a mistake 😊
