Sorry for the delay in sending out this message. I was waiting to confirm a few details. This week looks like we may have some weather-related issues, so please check your email/Twitter for changes and cancellations. Please be advised- if our A Meet is canceled due to rain, we must reschedule as soon as possible due to NVSL rules. This may force us to cancel Dinner & Dive or the Thursday B Meet vs Dunn Loring. We will communicate changes to the schedule as needed.

Tuesday A Meet vs Greenbriar: The first Dive A Meet of the season is this Tuesday at Cardinal Hill. Remember this event is by invitation only. It is an NVSL scored meet, and we are only allowed to bring our top divers in each category. If you’d like to learn more about required dives and A Meets, please check out the team website. If your child has any questions about whether or not they are invited to attend Tuesdays meet, please have them ask the coaches at practice today or tomorrow. For invited divers: please plan to arrive at the pool at 4pm for warm-ups. Nachos will be served at 5pm. Meet will start at 6pm. Parents- please sign up to volunteer.

Wednesday Night Dinner & Dive: Learn a New Dive will be from 5pm-6:30pm, followed by our team potluck in the cabana. This week we will be ordering pulled pork and pulled chicken from Mookies BBQ. Thursday B Meet vs Dunn Loring: The first Dual B Meet of the season is this Thursday at Cardinal Hill. All divers who do not place 1-3 in Tuesday night’s A meet are invited to attend. Due to the very large number of divers on the team, we ask that divers who place at the A Meet do not “dive-up” at the B Meet. Please plan to arrive at the pool at 4pm for warm-ups. Nachos will be served at 5pm. Meet will start at 6pm. Parents- please sign up to volunteer.

NEW EVENT Friday Team Photos & Donuts: Join us for our Donuts, Juice & Team Pictures. Individual pictures will also be available. Please arrive by 9am. Team photo will be at 9:15am sharp. DO NOT BE LATE! Fun Day Team Practice to follow. Former Cardinal Hill diver Gracie Feuchter has volunteered to take a team picture for us this year. The photo will be provided to all dive team families digitally FOR FREE. Gracie has also offered to take individual or family shots immediately after the team phot on the diving board. If you would like Gracie to take an individual or family photo of your diver(s), please send them with $10 cash and Gracie will send you a digital copy of the photo.Please RSVP if you are planning to get an individual or family photo, so I can provide Gracie with a list. Immediately following photos, we will be serving donuts and juice by the dive well to all divers. We will have a FUN DAY dive practice from 10am-11am for all interested divers. No regular team practice will be held on Friday!

Team T-Shirts Are IN: If you registered by our deadline of June 4^th, your diver will receive a team t-shirt. Please see Coach Teresa at practice to pick up your shirt. If you registered after the deadline, we will likely still have a shirt for your diver (might not be your first choice of size). Please wait until next Monday to request a t-shirt if your diver joined the team after the June 4^th deadline!

Secret Dive Buddies: Next week we will be having our secret dive buddy week. This is an optional fun activity. Please read directions in the Google Doc and contact our social chair, Kate Beck, [email protected] with questions.
