Summer Dive is officially underway. I hope many of you were able to attend one of our afternoon practices last week. This week we will continue with our afternoon practice schedule. Your diver may come to either the 4pm-5pm practice, or the 5pm-6pm practice. Practices are mixed age and RSVP is not required. There will be no practice on Friday, June 11th as the pool will be packed since it's the last day of FCPS.

We will also have our Coaches Meet n Greet and Ice Cream Social tomorrow, Monday, June 7th from 6pm-6:30pm. We will set up a table near the Snack Bar/Diving well area. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP by mid-night tonight so we have a headcount for ice cream supplies. I currently only have 25 divers registered, and I expect many more of you will be in attendance. To RSVP, please go to the team website. Click on the tab that says "Meets & Events". Click on the Link that says "Signup Calendar". Click on the Green RSVP button for the Ice Cream Social. Update your response. Click the blue button that says "Save" to save changes. And voila! You are done!

The week of June 14th the team events will kick into high gear. Here is a run down of some of our events for our new families.

*Tuesday Night A Meets- These are our NVSL competitive meets and are by invitation only. The team can bring at most 32 of our top divers to the event. Divers must be able to compete the required number of dives for their age category. Required dives are posted on them site under "Dive Meet 101".

*Wednesday Nights are Dinner & Dive. Divers may attend an optional afternoon practice from 5pm-6:30pm. This practice is generally referred to as "Learn a New Dive Night". Divers are encouraged to work on a new skill- can be as simple as a front dive for our newest divers, to a reverse 1 somersault for our more experienced divers. Practice is followed by a team potluck in the Cabana from 6:30-8pm. The team will order from a local take-out venue and registered participants will pay $5 per head for the entrée (Popeyes, Chick fil A, Mookies BBQ, etc). Then all guests will bring a side to share (fruits, salads, desserts). Team provides beverages.

*Thursday Night B Meets- We currently have two scheduled and are hoping to get a 3rd on the books. These are developmental meets and all divers who have not placed at our competition A Meets are welcome to attend. Coaches can spot divers and divers of all abilities are encouraged to attend.

I know many of you emailed me last week and I only had time to respond to a few notes. I was out of town until late yesterday. I'll be circling back to everyone shortly. Separately, my family is moving to Texas at the end of July and my schedule is crazy! This is my 5th year as team rep. I will give it my all, but please understand I am a volunteer. We are renting back our home through the end of July specifically so my kids can be a part of the amazing Cardinal Hill Dive, Swim, and Tennis teams. We will be very active members of the team this year, but I may need a little more help than usual this season. Thanks in advance for your understanding!
