Dear Cardinal Hill Divers,

As you may have heard, the NVSL-D (Northern Virginia Swim League-Dive) has cancelled the 2020 season due to the pandemic. This means that there will be no organized competition through the NVSL-D program. However, the Cardinal Hill Coaches, Dive Board Rep (Illana Feuchter) and I are still working to put together an abbreviated summer dive program for our families.

As is the standard party line these days, I can’t give you all the details just yet. Here is what we’ve been discussing:

• The CH Dive Program will start no sooner than VA Phase 2 reopening. Best case scenario is mid to late June.
• The cost of the program is TBD. It will be reduced from our previous season fees.
• Practice times will likely be done via a sign-up system. Depending on the number of registered divers, practice times will likely be shorter and may not be offered daily.
• Our amazing Head Coaches Brenda and Sydney are returning! They will be able to share their knowledge with all of our divers but will not be able to give hands on spotting this season.
• While official NVSL-D meets will not be held this season, we do hope to be able to hold various team meets (like our annual Boys vs Girls) and may be able to schedule meets with other area dive teams if restrictions ease
