Cracker Jack Details

I'm not 100% sure who is attending Cracker Jack Meet on Sunday, so I am sending this info to all. This email will have lots of very important info, so please read carefully!

-Meet is this Sunday, July 21st at Sideburn Run, 10603 Zion Dr, Fairfax, VA 22032

-An Updated Schedule of Events is attached. Please plan to be early!!! Many divers scratch. I have seen certain categories run over 1 hour early. Coach Brenda posts updates on the Cardinal Hill Twitter feed @CHSRDive. The NVSL also posts updates on their twitter feed @NVSLDive (website: https://dive.mynvsl.com/ )If you don't see an update on the Twitter feed, you may text me at #917-848-1166 and I will try to give you an update.

-If you purchased t-shirts/hoodies by end of day yesterday, July 18th, they will be available for you to pick-up at the pool. If you have not yet ordered, you still can, but the items will be mailed to your home

-We submit all families as potential volunteers and the Cracker Jack organizers pick a few from each team depending on their needs. This year the Cardinal Hill volunteers are: Leah Sumner (8 year old boys & girls Table Worker) and Karl Rothman (8 year old boys & girls Table Worker). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your event for a briefing. If you were not selected to work the meet, be advised you might be called on to fill a role if volunteers are no shows. Everyone is fair game to work Cracker Jack Meet. I have worked the last 3 and once was as a last minute sub. Please be flexible and willing to pitch in.

-If we are expecting your diver and you decide not to attend for any reason, please email me at [email protected] so that I might update the coaches. They are very busy and don't need to spend their time frantically searching for missing divers.

-Have fun! Cracker Jack is a crazy meet, but a great opportunity for new and younger divers to experience a championship meet. Take pictures, support Sideburn Run's concession stand, and enjoy the event. It will be hot, but at least it looks storm free!
