School's out, but the sun is not! It is supposed to get a bit warmer, but temps are going to hover in the low 70s this afternoon. The water was already very cold yesterday and with the rain and clouds, the water temp has dropped further. Due to the the combined cold water/air temps, we are cancelling both dive practices tonight, Thursday, June 13th. I realize that swim team is currently still planning to practice. As divers are constantly in and out of the water, they loose body heat faster and tend to get colder than swimmers. For those of you with children in FCPS, take a breather as we officially end the school year. Tomorrow we start the summer season!

Morning temps are going to be in the low to mid 60s tomorrow. With that in mind, we are scheduling dry land practice for tomorrow, Friday, June 14th. The coaches will work with divers on their entry/hurdles, form, stretches and conditioning. That being said, as long as the pool hasn't been closed by Crystal Aquatics due to low temps, divers will be permitted to dive if they wish.
